Directing & Conducting
In 2006 Harriet took her first conducting post with The University of Sheffield Singers’ Society, directing the society’s Small Groups, Socii Cantorum and the Ladies Choir. The choirs were young, thriving and successful and both highly acclaimed performers for the University and South Yorkshire. Harriet quickly became a sought-after director, working on a number of exciting projects for TV and Radio.
In 2013 Harriet became the new artistic director for Stone Choral Society in Staffordshire. The choir perform regularly throughout the year, exploring a wide range of choral repertoire.
In 2018 Harriet founded the Alma Mater singers, a small upper voices chamber choir whose singers’ previously sang with Harriet at the University. Alma Mater enjoys singing the works of contemporary choral composers such as Sarah Quartel
As a freelance director, Harriet takes on exciting choral projects including Big Sing events at Symphony Hall for the West Midlands Music Partnership and the Gala concert for the National Association of Choirs conference.
